Most Common Powerball Winning Numbers [Updated Weekly]

Ever wondered which Powerball numbers come up most often? We analyzed the complete history of Powerball drawings under the current format (since October 2015, when the number pool changed to 1–69 for main numbers and 1–26 for the Powerball).

Most Frequently Drawn Main Numbers

Based on our analysis, these main numbers have appeared most frequently: 61, 32, 21, 63, 36, 69, 23, 39, 59, and 62. These “hot” numbers have each been drawn significantly more than the statistical average.

Most Frequently Drawn Powerballs

For the Powerball number, the most common picks include: 18, 24, 21, 10, and 6. Since the Powerball pool is smaller (1–26), each number comes up more frequently than main numbers.

Does Frequency Matter?

Statistically, no. Each drawing is an independent random event. A number that has been “hot” in the past is no more or less likely to be drawn in the next drawing. The frequency differences we observe are within normal statistical variance for random events.

That said, many players enjoy picking numbers based on frequency analysis — and there's nothing wrong with that, as long as you understand it doesn't change your odds.
